Joseph Griffin is a litigation associate at BB&P where
he handles a variety of personal injury and medical
malpractice matters in the Federal and State Courts.
Before joining BB&P, Mr. Griffin worked as a New York
City Assistant District Attorney for the Richmond County
D.A.'s Office. As an ADA, he has prosecuted both
felonies and misdemeanors in a wide array of areas,
including white collar crime and several high profile
cases, at least one of which garnered national press
coverage. He has also presented cases to the Grand Jury
and was appointed Special Prosecutor for Conflicts
cases.
In law school, Mr. Griffin was active on the NYLS
Journal of Media Law & Policy as a Staff Editor. He was
also a Research Assistant for several published law
review articles in various areas of law, a Teaching
Assistant in Contract Law, an Editor and writer for the
school newspaper, DeNovo, and a paid contributing writer
for a nationally syndicated law digest, and the First
Place winner of a national writing competition. After
law school, he served as the New York Law School Civil
Rights Fellow for the ACLU.
Mr. Griffin has worked and studied law abroad,
particularly in Spain. He is fluent in Spanish, and has
worked extensively with clients from Spain and Latin
America.
He is a member of the Bar of the State of New York.
