Ms. Plotkin became a partner of BBP in 1993. Since she joined the firm in 1975, she has been involved in the development and growth of the firm and continues to be an invaluable asset, bringing her experience and knowledge to every case in the firm.
Ms. Plotkin is widely acknowledged to be one of the best personal injury and medical malpractice lawyers in the country. Recently, she was recognized as one of the top lawyers in the New York Metropolitan area in the New York Times edition of SuperLawyers. Ms. Plotkin is a member of the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, served as a Member of the Volunteer Committee of Attorneys Representing Victims of the World Trade Center Disaster, was a member of the prestigious Judicial Screening Panel, and lectured at the Association of the Bar of the City of New York for other attorneys regarding wrongful death issues in personal injury cases. Her extensive lecture experience also includes appearances as guest lecturer for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York on the topic of medical malpractice. Ms. Plotkin is one of the few personal injury and medical malpractice attorneys to be recommended by the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

- $2.5 million settlement in Supreme Court, New York County in a medical malpractice plastic surgery case for a man who underwent elective, improperly performed, calf augmentation surgery which resulted in an above-the-knee amputation of his right leg
- $2.1 Million settlement for a medical malpractice suit involving a doctor who failed to properly monitor a premature infant resulting in brain damage
- $1.9 Million settlement for the parents of a young girl who died at 9 years of age after developing full-blown AIDS due to a contaminated blood transfusion given at the time of her birth in 1984 - before blood testing for the HIV virus became available
- $1 Million settlement for an infant who suffered limitation of use of her right arm due to an Erb’s palsy at the time of her birth
